What does it mean to be an Independent Contractor?

All the service professionals using the MySquard platform are independent contractors and not employees. Take a look at the Service Professional Agreement for more information. 

There are two types of independent contractors that work with our platform:

1. Individual Service Professionals/Owners

An individual service professional is not part of any Agency. They are individual service providers who manage their accounts on their own and accept jobs according to their preferences.

• Agency 

You will find many agencies on the MySquard platform. The agencies employ a staff of cleaners, plumbers, electricians, and other professionals on their payroll. When agencies get associated with MySquard, they will be able to enlist multiple employees under their list. It will allow the agencies to assign jobs and manage the schedules of their employees from the dashboard.

Note: All the types of independent contractors will be able to edit the job. For example, if the customer wants to get additional work done, the independent contractor will add a new item and price to the current list at the time of checkout.
